Onze Rust Aged Care Centre in Steynsrus is located in the beautiful quiet town in the heart of the Free State. Here you can enjoy a quality life in a peaceful, safe environment surrounded by beautiful gardens.

We have 20 x spacious rooms for residents who can live independently without assistance. These rooms are offered for rent. The rooms are spacious enough should residents want to place a fridge or couch in the room as well. Every two rooms share one full bathroom. There is also a shared kitchen and a shared lounge room where family can come to visit.

There are 16 x full care rooms that provide 24-hour care for frail elderly people. Each room has a basin but shares bathrooms in the hallway.

Onze Rust has 11 x apartments on site. They consist of two-bedroom and one-bedroom apartments for people who can live independently. The apartments have separate rooms and en-suite bathrooms, an open plan kitchen and a living area. There is also a garage which is connected to the apartment with a corridor. Included in the rent fee are lawn mowing services, security lights, laundry services and emergency service intercoms that are connected to the nursing office.
SERVICES
Onze Rust Aged Care Centre offers a variety of services that residents can enjoy. Please note that additional fees apply for some of the services.
- The Center has 2x overnight rooms for residents' families
- Daycare – this service is offered to the public of Steynsrus. Elderly people can be cared for at the centre during the day, even if they are not residents. Two meals and two tea times are offered as well as care and help with washing / showering.
- Meals are provided to residents
- Meals can be ordered and delivered to the public in Steynsrus
- Medication handling
- Bath / shower assistance services
- Wound care
- Medical services – Blood pressure, glucose test, administration of injections
- The Church service is broadcast directly to the Center every Sunday
- The Reverend visits the Center every Thursday
- At least 2 activities are offered weekly such as exercises, arts and crafts, choir or movies.
